LOL! No real secrets, just getting a little lucky these days. For instance, It takes things like the Yankees winning in 16 innings on the road at Fenway.

It's all about looking for some value. The Yanks at +162 yesterday struck me as a real nice price, Sale or no Sale.

Not a big fan of betting favorites, whether it's horses or sports.

It's looking like the Brewers and Rays are for real, huh? This Brewers team is as fun a team as I've seen play in a while. Lot of energy around the team. Need to get up to Miller park for a series before the year is over. I suspect they are a bit young to go all the way...but you never know.

Been a fun year so far.

Thanks for the kind words guys, hope I can keep it up.

Yep. It's about discerning value. Agree with Bloker. I'm also a horse player and try to steer clear of favs in most cases although sometimes there is value in a fav if that makes any sense. But not often. (Had a 45-1 horse over a 7/2 horse at Gulfstream yest for a nifty $692.00 exacta). That defines value. Those don't come in every Saturday when I go but they do come in and when they do I can throw away 345 tickets and still show a profit for the track.

I didn't get it up on time here today but I think there is nice value betting Balty (+146) today to not get swept by the Cubbies. Quintana is being overbet as though he just cured all the Cub problems. The Cubs haven't had a road sweep all year. -158? Way overbet.

Good luck, guys.

Nice hit on that exacta! I'm getting stoked for Saratoga and Del Mar.

Good thoughts on the Cubs game. I was also looking at it just out of curiosity. Following the Quintana storyline as well. Living in Chicago I enjoy all the teams but tend to like the White Sox a little more for some reason. In any event I hope that trade works out for both sides.

So much for the Quintana, Cubs value bet against.

Yea, Bloker can't wait for Saratoga. Go a couple / few times each meet, definitely the Labor Day weekend every year for about thirty years now.

Great racing, and great handicapping opportunities. And great fun food and beautiful women everywhere. My favorite place in all the world.

Do you go?

I have been a few times. Was there last summer on the Saturday they cut the card short because the track was unsafe after a big thunderstorm. I think that was the week before the Travers. Boy, that was a hot/humid day, and the rain came down in buckets.

You are so right about the handicapping opportunities at Saratoga. In that regard it's the best in the country.

Del Mar was always my main summer track to attend because I have a lot of friends out in the San Diego area. That too is a great environment/scene, and they seem to be having better cards in the last couple of years.

Hard to tell which I like better, getting a chance to go to either is always a cool thing.

I see you are in the Boston area. Any chance of a Suffolk comeback? Never got to see that track.
